Description of initiative
In May 2017, six actors, video artists, authors and directors of the Parisian company Ici Même, involved the Blue-Cross care residency of Capdenac-Gare, took up an artistic challenge. For two weeks, the residents have participated in the co-creation of a video-guide, mixing fiction and anecdotes, to discover the little-known places of the establishment. The scenario was inspired of the Peter Pan syndrome that is the young refusal to grow up, to be trapped in the childhood, which was enriched by the feelings and anecdotes given by the seniors. The establishment opened its doors to the general public to take part in this playful visit.

Results, benefits, impact and lessons learnt
140 visitors equipped with a smartphone and headphones they wandered through the corridors, guided by Peter Pan, the residents and locals. A real immersion to discover, through history and anecdotes, the secrets of the Blue Cross residency, from its kitchens to its darkest corners. At the end of their adventure, the visitors were able to exchange with the artists and residents. Surprised to see a retirement healthcare open to the public, they were all seduced by this original visit and the warm welcome they received from the elderly people living in the establishment. The project had a big impact on the residents. By
disrupting the well-ordered daily life of the elderly, the presence of the artists has encouraged some of them, who are usually not very sociable, to go more towards the others and to circulate within the establishment. The staff also discovered the great open-mindedness of the residents.
