SESC Fortaleza
Yellow September Campaign – Valuing life in suicide prevention
Mental health is a state of well-being in which a person is able to use their own abilities, recover from routine stress, be productive and contribute to the community, as defined by the World Health Organization (WHO). During the pandemic, this was one of the most affected situations due to the restrictions imposed by Covid-19. As a result of this emotional instability, according to the One Year of Covid-19 study, carried out by Ipsos for the World Economic Forum with 30 countries, 53% of Brazilians declared that their mental well-being has worsened a little or a lot in during pandemic. To make the population aware of the importance of mental health care, with emphasis on suicide prevention, SESC Fortaleza promotes a series of interventions that combine health education and art. The program was part of the Yellow September Campaign – Valuing life in suicide prevention.
